Slightly Used, Priceless Steel Coffin, Anyone?

JP "The Big Bopper" Richardson, who crooned Chantilly Lace, died in the infamous plane crash that also killed Rudy Valens and Buddy Holly. He only used his coffin 38 years, from his burial in 1959 until he was exhumed in 1997, shortly after which time he got a new coffin. Now, over a decade later, the family will soon put the original coffin (only slightly damaged) on eBay, according to the Beaumont Enterprise. Proceeds will be used to fund a musical about its former occupant.
